Aahana Rathore secured 3rd position and other girls completed race and awarded Certificate

Lagnajita Sharma of class KG-C  stood 1st in DIDI NO-1 programme in Zee Bangla

Aryahi Paul of class 2-A won 3rd position in 'Rabindra Nritya' in Dance competition organised by 'Anupran' in Hoogly District.

The eighth Clifford Hicks International Debate was organised by Calcutta Boys School, Kolkata. 

Shruti Chakraborty and Parnika Priyal represeted the school in category 1 and Srijita Biswas and Sonakshi Das in category 2.

They were accompanied by Miss K. Mazumdar. The team was provided accommodation at The Great Eastern Lalit Hotel.

It was an enriching experience for all the four participants. The exposure definitely addedd to their critical thinking skills, enhanced self confidence and improved effective communication abilities. 

Srijita Biswas and Sonakshi Das emerged as the winning team in the preliminary round. Srijita Biswas was declared the Best Speaker. The team made it to the finals.

The students of Loreto Convent Asansol successfully represented WB and NE Region in the national meet. It was organised by St Joseph School, Hyderabad in GMC Balayogi Stadium Gachibowli Hyderabad. Five students of Loreto Convent Asansol took part in this meet namely Rossel Chattaraj (U-19) in triple jump and 4×400m relay, Mahak Patel (U-19) in triple jump and hammer throw, Koninika Mondal (U-17) hammer throw , Rupkatha Bhattacharjee(U-17) in 800m race, 3000m race, and 4×400m relay , Eshita Sarkar (U-14) in high jump.8 coaches accompanied the students. The students were very grateful to Principal Sister Jency for giving them the opportunity to participate in the CISCE national meet.

During the Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, an 

Inter School Quiz Competition - "Utkarsh" was  organised by SAIL - IISCO on 22/10/2024 at Confluence, Burnpur.

The Quiz Competition started at about 10 am. The duration of the quiz was upto  1:30 pm. Two students, Rajlakshmi Chatterjee of Class 10 and Rajonya Banerji of Class 8 of Loreto Convent Asansol participated in this quiz and secured the second position in the Finals of this quiz competition. The participants were given a trophy, medals and certificates. The accompanying teacher was Mrs. N. Neogi.

Sports Authority of India, Kolkata (SAI)

The students of Loreto Convent, Asansol participated in the CISCE Regional Athletic meet organised by St. Helen's School, Kolkata at the SAI Complex. All the eighteen participants showcased amazing skills and determination.

The following were awarded for their outstanding performances.

Rossel Chattaraj (U19) Gold Medal for Triple Jump.

Mahak Patel (U19) Silver Medal for Hammer Throw and two Bronze Medals for Triple Jump and High Jump.

Rupkatha Bhattacharjee (U17) Silver for the 800m Race.

Aditi Louisa Ekka (U17) two Bronze Medals for Triple Jump and High Jump.

Lumbika Manoj Kumar (U17) Bronze Medal for HammerThrow.

Koninica Mondal (U17) Silver Medal for Hammer Throw.

Eshita Dev Sarkar (U14) Bronze Medalfor High Jump.

The school secured the 2nd position in the 400*4m group relay  (U17). The sprinters were Rupkatha Bhattacharjee, Sanskriti Singh, Aditi Louisa Ekka and Aahana Rathore.
