Students of Loreto Convent, Asansol took part in the CISCE Regional Games and Sports Athletic Meet which took place on 10th and 11th August, 2023 at the Sports Authority of India, Kolkata. Rajasmita Dey, Zaara Akhtar, Paolee Chakraborty, Rossel Chattaraj, Venisha Pillai, Debangee Sarkar, Aditi Louisa Ekka, Ashmita Nandi, Rene Makhija, Sanskriti Singh and Soumya Mondal participated and won laurels for our school. The games teacher Mrs C. Sen's able guidance and the hard work of the participants is praise worthy.

Our school participated in the CISCE Regional Yoga Competition which took place on 5th and 6th of August, 2023 at the Shree Shree Academy School, Kolkata. Torsa Ghosh came third in Artistic Yoga and Shruta Parna Das in Rythmic Yoga.

ANANYA MURMU of class 2-A securing 3rd position in a dance competition

 Sanskriti Prasad of 9 B and Vedanshi Gupta of class 10 B participated in the 67th West Bengal State School Games -2023. They participated in the Basketball Tournament Under17 years, held at Bolpur Girls High School, Birbhum from 15th December 2023 to 17 December 2023.The atmosphere at Bolpur Girls High School was electric, with teams from across the district converging to compete in the spirit of sportsmanship. The facilities provided were outstanding, contributing to the overall success and enjoyment of the tournament.

Rossel Chattaraj of class 11 had the honour of participating in the 67th National School Games 2023-2024, as part of the West Bengal Team. She received a participation certificate for playing in the Basketball Tournament.

The students of Loreto Convent, Asansol took part in 4 x 100 mtr Inter School Relay Race Organised by St. Joseph School at Loco Ground. Our students Ahana Rathod of class 8-A, Shinjini Bhaumik of class 9-A, Debangee Sarkar of class 9-A and  Venisha Pillai of class 11 Commerce took part in this race and the stood 3rd . Mrs. C.Sen , the games teacher accompanied the students.

The students of Loreto Convent, Asansol took part in the 67th West Bengal State School Basketball Girls Tournament. Rossel Chattaraj and Tulip Chatterjee  were selected to represent team Paschim Bardhaman u-19 girls.  Two matches were played on 22nd November, first against team Purv Bardhaman and second against team Hoogly. Two other matches took place for national team selection on the same day.  Rossel Chattaraj of our school got selected.

Ashavari Mukherjee of Class 7A has received certificate of participation at state level chess tournament under School education department,Government of West Bengal.

ARYAHI PAUL of class 1-A went to visit Chandannagar Book Fair and a Math Competition was helding there at that time. Aryahi decided to compete and won the 3rd prize.

Anuka Chatterjee of 12 Arts took part in a swimming competition organised by the committee of management of sports infrastructure in Asansol Municipal Corporation areaThe competition was organised in Polo Ground and she stood 1st in 50 metres backstroke and 2nd in 50 metres freestyle

The publisher of the book is Notion press, and the book was a final round nominee in Asia's most prestigious book awards, The Golden Book Awards. Roshni had published it at the age of 16, in the 12th grade. 

The Detective's Pursuits (New Edition) is a detective mystery book which includes 13 enigmatic short stories and added 4 extra stories which marks the end of the Arjun Roy series , it is written by Roshni Bhattacharya, of class 12 Arts. The book is published all over the world , on the platforms, Amazon, Flipkart and The Notion Press Official website. The publisher of the book is Notion press, and it has been receiving recognition from sites like Goodreads.com. Roshni had published it on December 12tg at the age of 17, in the 12th grade.

Roshni Bhattacharya's Book 'The Detective's Pursuits' was nominated for the Golden Book Awards 2024, she surpassed all the 3 rounds and was a final nominee in the Mystery Genre. Due to Her board exams, she wasn't able to visit the Award Show, So the Award authorities, sent her the Nomination Certificate, congratulating her on being such a young and aspiring Author.
